CASSTUDY

MARKETING & REBRANDING IMPLEMENTATION

Brand building through design thinking, organic content, and optimized digital marketing efforts for BONECO, AG. â€‹

THE SITUATION

BONECO, a Swiss company known for designing and selling personal air treatment systems worldwide, acquired a line of American-made air purifiers, branding them as ENVION. The goal was to position BONECO as a world leader in air treatment systems and establish a strong consumer base in North America. This required creating a new brand under the BONECO umbrella that resonated with North American consumers and competed for greater market shares in the USA and Canada.

THE CHALLENGE

Initially, ENVION, operated by BONECO North America, shared the same marketing resources and corporate brand identity developed in Switzerland for the European market. The challenge was to distinguish ENVION as a unique brand of air purifiers that appealed to a subset of North American consumers and buyers.

THE SOLUTION

​A comprehensive approach for strengthening brand recognition and also cultivating strong emotional connections with consumers. In today's competitive market, leveraging these strategies is crucial for sustaining market growth and maintaining a competitive edge.

To achieve this, we undertook the following:

 

  1. Market Assessment: We analyzed the current marketplace to identify key factors that distinguished our products and services from our competitors. We also examined sales trends and data by demographic performance to determine which audiences to best target and engage.                                                                                                                            

  2. Rebranding and Identity Creation: We researched, coordinated, and executed the rebranding of ENVION. This included the development of brand vision and new package designs for the primary purpose of securing the expansion of ENVION products into Walmart stores and Amazon Markets nationwide.                                                                                                                                                           

  3. Digital Marketing Strategy: We planned and executed marketing efforts across social media and partnering sales platforms, including Amazon, Target, and Home Depot, among others.

PRE-
PRODUCTION

Before assembling creative teams, I led the development of a brand vision, coordinated consumer surveys, and executive meetings. Based on survey results and input from our executive team, I wrote a brand story, designed mood boards, and drafted budgets to guide all marketing efforts across various sales channels. Every step was documented. Calendars were formed and  KPI's  communicated across department leaders.

PRODUCTION

As the Marketing Manager and Lead Designer, I co-wrote, budgeted, and led all creative teams in producing copy, print, video, and social media content. This ensured ENVION was presented as a unique and cohesive brand of air purifiers across all marketing segments.

THE RESULTS

​Our structured and holistic rebranding process led to significant achievements:

 

  • Successful expansion of ENVION products into Walmart (Brick and Mortar), Amazon, and partnerships with the Home Shopping Network (HSN).                                                                                                                    

  • Increased ROI and engagement across all social media platforms.
